Lashify DIY Lash System

Lashify Review!

A DIY lash system called Lashify has changed my lash life…

I love the look of long, luscious, and thick lashes. Unfortunately, my natural lashes are the complete opposite, and I HATE wearing false lashes.

A little background on what my natural lashes are like:

Very thin.

Very sparse.

Very short.

That’s it, lol. And, of course, I love what my momma gave me. But…if you can improve one of your features for an affordable price, hey, why not go for it?!

I first heard about Lashify from my coworker, and my first thought after watching a YouTube video of it was, “this is what I need!”. I’ve said that about many products. And especially after trying “magnetic lashes” and finding them to be a complete fail, the voice in my head told me that this would be a fail too.

BOY, WAS I WRONG.

I ordered the Lashify kit. On a whim. And I have not looked back since.

Before I tried Lashify, I was getting lash extensions done every three weeks, and had been doing so for about a year. As much as I loved the look of the full, thick lashes after the appointments, I didn’t like the fact that I would be right back at the same place again getting them done. My lash girl was awesome and super sweet, but I just personally don’t like having to go to appointments every few weeks and not being able to do what I want during the weekends. (FYI, I set my appointments for the weekends because of my work schedule). I just don’t like appointments period, lol, and knowing that I had to go back every few weeks to continue having beautiful lashes was not something that I enjoyed. So…back to Lashify.

The lashes, or “gossamers” as Lashify calls them, are the most natural-looking false lashes I’ve seen. They are weightless and designed to melt with your natural lashes when you fuse. These lashes are meant to be worn for a few days at a time, and then replaced with a new set after. Honestly, I think these actually look nicer on me than when I had lash extensions on, but that’s just my opinion.

The lashes are not advertised as reusable, but I personally have cleaned them to be reused, and so have many others. I usually wear these lashes for one week and then replace them with new sets, but the longest I have gone without removing them was for about 12 days. Yes, 12 days. Amazing right? Considering they are held on by a flexible glue that is self applied in the comfort and privacy of your home, that’s pretty amazing.

My favorite reason for using these lashes is that they are something you have complete control and freedom with. You control when you apply them, you control when you remove them, and you control whether they are applied thicker or more natural. I have a chihuahua, and I am allergic to dog dander, so of course, I have major allergies everyday. It is a wonderful feeling to know that I have the freedom to remove my lashes if I want to clean my eyes out to the max due to itchiness. I could NOT do this with lash extensions. You can see now why this is my favorite part about using the Lashify system.

Another reason why I love these lashes is that they are more affordable than lash extensions. Of course this depends on where you live. In Hawaii, where I live, my refill appointments came out to about $90 including tip, and I would refill my lashes every three weeks. Lashify, on the other hand, costs about $40 every month with the subscription. You do need to purchase the Lashify Kit first, but the kit comes with the tools you need and lashes that should last about two weeks.

See below for pictures of my Lashify Kit. It comes in a beautiful black case with a fuse control wand, flexible bond, sealer, and two gossamer lash sets.

Some extra details for you:

You can choose the style and length of your choice. I prefer the B style, which is considered the “bold” look, and looks the most like you are wearing mascara. The lengths I use vary between 10 to 14. For me, it takes ten minutes from start to finish. The process is fast and easy, and Lashify does a great job in explaining the process in their live videos. Their Instagram account @lashify has awesome live videos showing step by step how to apply the gossamers.

As much as I can go on and on about Lashify, it really depends on each person’s preference. If something works for me, it doesn’t mean it will work for the next person. All I can say is that it really worked wonders for me and this is definitely a brand that I will continue to use.

  1. Im so happy I found this. I can’t wear regular falsies because my natural Lashes are so stick straight that they start drooping and parting away from the false lashes. From your other post, it looks like there’s no droopy lashes in sight. Did you have to curl your natural lashes before you applied? Or did the adhesive basically curl your natural lashes to the gossamers.

Hi! I don’t curl my natural lashes at all! The gossamers are so lightweight that they hold on very well for me and don’t make my lashes droop. I’ve heard of others who have stick straight lashes as well and need to curl them first before putting the gossamers on, and that really helps for them. Everyone’s eyes are different so I think it just depends on the person. I highly recommend Lashify! There’s a wonderful Facebook group (Lashify Life) that you can join, and there’s a ton of helpful information on there!

So sorry for the late response! I hope by now you’ve had the chance to try out Lashify, and hope that you love it! I haven’t worn them to the beach much, but from what I hear, they hold up pretty well. I totally agree with you, I was soo sick of going to appointments too. If you haven’t tried Lashify yet, I highly recommend that you do!

Hi, do you have pictures of you wearing the lashes? I’m trying to figure which type to get – is the B still natural looking? And since the lashes are applied under your natural lashes, will it be a problem for having stick straight lashes that point down? Thanks!

    1. The Daily Tango says:

My favorite style is actually the B’s, and in my opinion, I think they look natural with a light mascara look. My lashes are also very stick straight and point down with absolutely no curl, so it would be no problem for you! If you’re looking for a more natural look, you might want to start off with A’s since they are the most natural lashes available. And then you can play around with the different styles after. I have a few pictures, but I don’t remember which lashes I’m wearing since I like to switch up the look every so often, but you can take a look at this blog post here where I have a closer up photo of me in the lashes (I think it’s either B or F).

is it necessary to buy the kit? Would it be fine to just buy one or two sets of gossamers and just buy the whisper glue? Is there anything else that’s really needed?

    1. The Daily Tango says:

I would recommend the lashify kit because you’ll definitely need the fuse control wand to apply the gossamers. The sealant also helps with any stickiness that could be left from the glue so that would be good to have as well. The kit is helpful because you can bend the mirror cover all the way down and apply the gossamers as you’re looking down (which I find to be the easiest way to apply). If you still prefer to purchase everything separately without the kit, then my suggestion would be to at least get the fuse control wand, along with the gossamers and whisper light glue.
